In the first part of this exposition on the blessing of the godly (Click http://geraldinyang.blogspot.com.ng/2018/02/the-blessing-of-godly-1.html?m=1 to read the first part), we saw the first part of the lessons contained in Psalms chapter 1. We noted vital lessons from verses 1 and 2 of Psalms chapter 1. We noted that God is set to bless the godly, His children. We noted that there are conditions to fulfill if we will have God’s blessing, and that primarily, we must be godly. We saw also the necessity for separation from ungodliness and the ungodly.

The Scriptures of the Holy Bible are full of pronouncements of God’s favour over His people. This fact more than
all else demonstrates the desire and readiness of the Almighty God to do mankind good. Indeed His thoughts towards us are thoughts of good and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11 ), for we are His most prized creation. It is worthy of note, also, that the scriptures not only have the pronouncements of God’s good intentions and purposes for us, but also show how we may access all these benefits. Psalms 1:1-6 is one of those scriptures that shows us how we may access all of God’s blessing for our lives.

I listened to a radio program some time ago and the topic of the discussion was the relevance of prophecies in our time considering the number of prophets who release their prophetic declarations for the year at the beginning of every year.

I was concerned that a majority of what was said by the presenters was to put down prophecies as being an unnecessary thing to give any consideration. It was obvious those radio presenters did not really understand what they were talking about. It may be that many people do not appreciate the necessity of prophecy for our lives today, this is why I invite you to join me as we examine why we need prophecy today.

THE GIFT THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

”Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and all they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and everyone an earring of gold. So The LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses” (Job 42:11-12).

The story of the ancient patriarch, Job is an awe inspiring one, and full of very important lessons to help us today. We are told of Job’s exemplary lifestyle from the first chapter and verse of the book of Job in the Bible. Born in the land of Uz, Job was a regular man like anyone …
